The Preparation in the Underworld
Undress in our elegantly designed redwood changing rooms. For a nominal extra fee, one can rent a private dressing room for two (4 m2 complete with dressing table, blow dryer, wash basin, wardrobe and chair.
Start off with a refreshing drink from the fountain of our mineral water before beginning your adventure through the Mineralbad & Spa Samedan.
Bathing area on the ground and first floors
Ground floor – Bathing ritual 1 –
Enter for the first time in the mystical World of the Mineralbad & Spa Samedan.
Adjust to this new mystical world in our cave-like bathing room, a flooded area with 8 meter high ceilings and 35 degree water temperature. Wander through the labyrinth-like structure and discover its many niches. Enjoy the water in its different forms: rock or pebble path for foot massage, mist grotto with steam, room with tranquil and calm water to let go and forget.
Time: 20 - 30 Min.
First floor – Bathing ritual 2, 3 & 4 –
Let the Jacuzzi water jets massage the aches and pains away in 35 degree water, slowly dip into the fire hot bath with its deep penetrating 40 degree temperature and end your tour by laying back, closing your eyes and resting on the large heated stone banks.
Time: Jacuzzi bath 15 - 20 Min., Hot bath 5 - 8 Min., Relaxing room 15 - 20 Min.
First floor – Cleansing ritual 5 –
Begin a short cleansing ritual in a 40 degree herbal steam room scented with a special dry alpine herbal mixture.
- First, dowse yourself with water from the central fountain and let the herbal steam open the pores of your skin.
- Next, with the peeling gloves provided, give yourself a power scrub from your feet to your shoulders and free your body from the old, dead skin cells.
- Follow up with another full body dowsing with warm water from the central fountain.
- Intensive sweating begins after a couple of minutes.
In a second 45° hot steam room the purification and detoxification of the body continues.
Last but not least, a shower closes out this cleansing ritual.
Now, in a sitting or laying position, relax on the large heated stones and let the purity of the fully cleansed “you”, take over.
Third floor – Bathing ritual 6 –
Open sky bathing as climactic finish
You now leave the building confines and climb into a warm bath located on the roof of Mineralbad & Spa Samedan . Under the open sky, enjoy the views of the surrounding Alpen world, the Padella and the impressive church tower.

Second floor – Bathing ritual 7 –
The dry and relaxation areas on the second floor
Bath towels, tea and fresh spring water are provided here for your use.
Wrap yourself up in a bath towel and refreshing conversation sipping tea, all the while taking in the breathless views from afar.
Relax in the Arven-Stube with views over the roofs of Samedan or in the Lärchen-Schatulle with a view of the summit of Padella.
Samedner Bathing Ritual
After the bathing rituals, (alone or with partner) in a private room, spoil your skin and senses and enjoy an optional full body oil massage with warm Precious Stone-Balance-Oils.
Choose from a selection of Precious stone oils (“Security“, “Joy of Life“, “Fountain of
Youth“ …). This massage technique utilizes heated stones.
The Precious Stone Oil Massage was developed specially for the Mineralbad & Spa Samedan and helps bring the mind and spirit in balance.
